Istanbul Empty Istanbul

Famous for being the city which spans two continents, Istanbul is very cosmopolitan and an excellent place to visit for a holiday or a honeymoon. What can be more romantic than sipping an ice-cold glass of wine on a terrace over-looking the Bospherous and looking at the breath-taking panoramic scenery. Istanbul is especially beautiful at night as the Blue Mosque, Hagi Sophia Mosque and the three bridges which span the river etc are lit up giving a them a look of mystic and wonder.

Seeped in over a thousand years of history, Istanbul has something for everyone. Shopaholics can spend hours in the Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı) with it's maze of covered streets and over 4,000 shops.

Topkapı Palace , the home of the Ottoman Sultans for hundreds of years. What can be more romantic than tracing the steps of the ladies of the Harem and seeing how they lived and the extravagant lifestyle they had.

You will notice that the Blue Mosque, built in 1616, isn't blue but gets its name from the tiles covering the interior walls. Visited by millions of tourists each year, be prepared to join long queues if visiting during the summer months.
